Foodbank begins in Sutton

For several years now several churches in Sutton have been working together. Since the "Soul in the City" event in 2004, Sutton has adopted the name "Community Works" to be a way of engaging various churches in Christian Community Work. After much local research and prayer, a relationship was started with the Trussell Trust who run Foodbank nationally. A steering group was formed and put simply, Foodbank has now been launched to help people in crisis who desperately need food. Currently the Foodbank is open at The Salvation Army Mondays and Fridays 12-2pm.
